You won’t believe why Lizzo just announced she’s quitting!

(NewsNation) – Rapper and singer Lizzo took to social media to announce “I QUIT” a day after headlining a Democratic National Committee fundraiser Thursday night at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

“I'm getting tired of being dragged around by everyone in my life and on the Internet,” said the “Good as Hell” singer. wrote on Instagram. “All I want is to make music and make people happy and help make the world a little better than I found it. But I'm starting to feel like the world doesn't want me in it.”

The artist went on to say that she is “constantly against the lies” that are spread about her because of her “influence and views.”

“Being the butt of the joke every time because of my appearance… My character is criticized by people who don't know me and don't respect my name. “I didn’t sign up for this s**t,” she wrote. “I LEAVE.”

Lizzo faces accusations of sexual harassment and discrimination from several of her former backup dancers, who say she created “a hostile work environment through a wide range of legal irregularities, which include not only sexual harassment but also religious and racial discrimination,” according to Billboard.

The women allege that Lizzo forced them to attend sex shows and eat a banana protruding from a woman's vagina, among other accusations. Last month, a judge denied Lizzo's request to dismiss the lawsuit, allowing the majority of the case to move forward to trial later this year.
