You won’t believe how Joey Graziadei popped the question to Kelsey Anderson – their engagement will melt your heart!
Spoiler alert: The following contains details from the season 28 finale of “The Bachelor.”.
Season 28's “Bachelor” star Joey Graziadei gave his final rose and took a knee.
The 28-year-old “teaching tennis professional” proposed to Kelsey Anderson, a 25-year-old junior project manager from New Orleans, Louisiana. “Kelsey Alexandra Anderson, I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” Joey said as the turquoise blue waters of Tulum crashed into waves behind them. “Will you marry me?”
Monday's finale also ended months-long speculation about what left Joey crying alone on a Tulum beach.
The engaged couple's happy ending left Daisy Kent, a 25-year-old account executive from Becker, Minnesota, heartbroken but confident in her decision. “The thing is, if I can love the wrong person so much, imagine how much I can love the right person?” she said.
Here's everything else that happened.
What happened during the finale of 'The Bachelor' 2024?
At the beginning of the final episode, Daisy and Kelsey, the final two contestants among a cast of 32 eligible women, had tearful meetings with Joey's parents and sisters and expressed their love for him. However, Carly and Ellie, Joey's sisters, expressed their doubts about Kelsey being ready for a commitment.
Joey then embarked on his final dates with his final two contestants.
Despite her doubts about whether Joey would choose her, Daisy professed her love for the first time during the nighttime portion of their last date. However, her vibes were off and she left the encounter telling producers, “If I'm 100% honest, I don't think it's me.”
Kelsey's date seemed to go better, with the two showing off their playful side while giving each other spa treatments and massages.
Knowing what she had to do because she was “really hurt” by her love for Joey and doubting being chosen, Daisy knocked on Kelsey's hotel room door before the proposal.
She asked how her friend's family reunion and final date went and shared that her date “felt a little out of place. There was something missing between Joey and I,” Daisy told Kelsey.

Daisy realized that Joey “wasn't my person”
For the first time in the show, the women headed to the proposal stage together, holding hands as they sat in the back of a van toward a gray-clad Joey. Daisy left first to face the fate in front of her.
“I love you. But the thing is, you're not going to choose me,” Daisy said through tears. “The last few days, I realized that you're not my person. And I know you know it. And as much as it hurts, I know you said you wanted the best for me. So I'm going to do what's best for me and I'm going to go.”
“You don't understand how special you really are,” Joey replied, crying. “It hurts me a lot to know that I have something more special with someone else, and I know that's where my heart is taking me.”
He left with his head held high and hugged Kelsey on the way out.
Who did Joey Graziadei choose during the 'Bachelor' finale?
Kelsey, wearing a strapless white feather dress, walked along the beach to meet her potential fiancé.
Since Daisy had already revealed that she wasn't the final choice, Joey didn't bother putting on an act before proposing.
“There's nothing difficult about choosing you. And I can't wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” he professed before kneeling.
She agreed to take his hand in marriage, and although you might not know it, Kelsey also accepted the final rose.
